<p>A house is a materialistic asset. A <em>home</em> is something you live in. Your home is a true reflection of you. You are a true reflection of your Generation. So what’s your Generation?</p>
<p>Our idea was simple. Bring the brand to life. Generation Homes have so many happy customers willing to tell their story. Our idea to humanize the brand was created around the real life ‘My Generation’ stories. We used actual customers to tell the story and endorse the core values of the Brand. Building a home should be all about CHOICE. With Generation Homes you get to choose what you want. Everything comes with a Generation Home. From the blinds, to the lawns, to the kitchen sink. And best of all you get to choose what you want. It was important to educate the customer on the choice they have.</p>
<p>We aligned this strategy, creative and design with all of Generation Homes national marketing, advertising and show homes.</p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">National Show Home ReDesign:</span></p>
<p>All existing show homes were very uninspiring and basically an office in the garage and throughout the home it was clinical and untouched. Most of Generations advertising drives the customer to the show home but there was a real disconnect with the advertising and the experience the customer had when arriving at the show home.</p>
<p>Research showed that customers like to interact within show homes; opening doors, cupboards, sitting on beds and imagining them selves living in the space. Yet the existing show homes had signs saying ‘Do not sit on the bed’, ‘Take your shoes off’ and boring empty cupbaords.</p>
<p>We wanted to create an experience that captured the core values of the brand and allow the customer to experience these values through interaction and communication.</p>

<p>The Young Innovator Awards (YiA) is organised by economic development agency, Priority One and is unique to the Western Bay of plenty region.  This year’s organisers were blown away by the number of secondary school student’s entries and look forward to even more entries in 2012.</p>
<p>The Awards are part of Priority One’s Instep programme and enable local business people to recognize and award students’ ability to problem-solve, a key skill needed by businesses to become more efficient and sustainable in the future.</p>
<p>Priority One Instep Manager, Lyn Parlane, says the competition was not necessarily about creating something new, but was often as simple as looking at how something could be improved to be more efficient and sustainable.</p>
<p>“The world is rapidly changing, kids enjoyed playing board games but now electronic games are hugely popular. In the past, people consulted maps when they needed directions whereas today they use Navman.”</p>
<p>“Inventing new products and services, or modifying old ones through innovative ideas, is the way of the future, and those are the skills we want to foster in our young people.”</p>
<p>Local businesses supporting YiA benefit, as the competition aims to help develop the traits they seek in future employees. Students can compete in teams or as individuals for a $1000 cash prize and the opportunity to be mentored by local business people. Both supreme winners took up this opportunity last year.</p>

<p><strong>The Brief: </strong>To create a company profile that explained EOL’s benefits and services as to why EOL is New Zealand’s fastest internet service provider.</p>
<p><strong>The Result: </strong>Our idea &#8211; As fast as you want to go.</p>
<p>EOL is an internet service provider located in the Bay of Plenty. Unlike every other ISP in New Zealand, they are completely wireless and independent. They have their own independent network sourcing some of the worlds most state of the art technology, all brought together to create the New Zealand’s fastest ISP.</p>
<p>Every other ISP competitor operates underground, trapped within a maze of existing copper wires. The way EOL operates is by not only putting the power back in the customers hands, but by transmitting wirelessly through the air.</p>
<p>We needed to speak to big business and balance out the ‘technological speak’ with key benefits. We also needed to develop a look and feel that was easy to follow. The result was an oversize document that clearly breaks up the key benefits with it’s graphic styling, and displays all of the products and their benefits clearly.</p>

<p>The ultimate goal when you hire a water well driller is for  them to find you water. We were astounded to look around at the  competition and discover all were focused on drilling holes, with not so  much as a mention to finding water.Mark Carlyle was as hard case as you can get. He shoots from the hip  and tells it like it is. He knows about hard graft and about the dangers  involved when you deal with heavy machinery &#8211; and he has the missing  fingers to prove it.</p>
<p>We knew that anyone dealing with Carlyle drilling is going to get a  big dose of his honest personality from the get go, so our brand had to  reflect this. The bold headlines used throughout and the down to earth  language we crafted throughout helped give personality to the  communication material, and kept it all completely honest with the  business itself .</p>
<p>By segmenting out the two markets into “exploration and industrial  well drilling” and “farms and domestic enquiries” We incorporated both  target markets effectively, and told the story of the business. The  brand itself has been successful, especially in pitching for work  against other businesses. The comprehensive brochures communicate their  vast capabilities, and manages to do it and still hang on to the gutsy  personality that drives the business.</p>

<p>Priority One is the Economic Development Agency for the Bay of Plenty. They needed a brand and key messages that could explain exactly what that meant to new or potential members. Members who were vital in contributing to the initiatives they put in place.</p>
<p>The concept heavily focused on the use of the numeral 1 bringing all the business members together (as one) to drive change. The photoshoot was used to show ‘how we drive change together’. This graphic became key in explaining to new members what they get by becoming a member, and what it is that Priority one does.</p>
<p>In developing the identity, the name gave us a lot of scope for brandplay, both with the numeral 1, and by communicating to members that they are our ‘priority one’. The goal of the identity was to create a simple and professional brand.</p>
<p>The response from Priority One has been one of satisfaction &#8211; and membership is increasing all the time. The new membership certificates and the Annual Report have also been very well received. The new identity and surrounding collateral has enabled Priority One to attract new members, attract new business interest (at home and overseas), and ultimately better communicate to all how they are making a difference to the Western Bay of Plenty.</p>
